The Sound of the Tree through the Forms of the Veil

6.2 Ribs

He who formed her from the rib sees her standing with the blood upon her own facing the glory present before the foundation of the world.  What protects her so that this glory does not  render her blind?--the same blood that through the torn and formed veil receives the light from the lampstands in the maiden’s care.

Our Lord has written the promise of the resurrection not in books alone, but in every leaf in springtime.

 --Martin Luther

These paintings portray the parted veil of the redemption.  The forsaken cry of evening transformed by the silent toll of death becomes the redemptive words of rest.  Always the child of that evening turned to morning, the maiden creates in communion with her Creator.

The cycle ends.
