The Sound of the Tree through the Forms of the Veil

5.2 Loneliness

She who followed her only hope into the storm sinks into the cold waters.  In the hot, forloren desert, she who sought the water thirsts.  A flash of lightning in the forest provides a glimpse into the folds of the shrouded veil, but not of the gentle fawn--it is the hungry, stalking, mighty wolf.

These paintings portray the veil in the void before the time of the creation and the veil as the chasm of loneliness separating the Creator from His fallen creation.  No wonder is the barrenness of the maiden’s path, true to that of her Creator.
